The DiToro/Lahey Team is proud to be a supporter of the youth of our community, particpiating in various programs both directly and indirectly.

We can’t believe the fair went by so quickly! It was a great time as always, and we wanted to thank everyone who stopped by the booth. If you stopped by you know that we again had plenty of give-aways and prize drawings. We are happy to announce the winner’s names have been drawn.
The winner of our Agent Prize, a $100 gas card is Michelle Anderson from Valparaiso. Congratulations and thanks again for stopping by.
And our Grand Prize Winner, who will be riding in our RE/MAX balloon during the Kiwanis balloon fest in September, is Beth Coburn, Valparaiso, IN! Congratulations to both of you we hope you enjoy your prizes!
We would also like to recognize Mikayla Duzan, Joel Johnson and their families; they did a fine job of raising the animals we purchased at the 4-H Celebration Sale. We were fortunate enough to get our pig Cletus from Mikayla. We and our friend Ellen Parker purchased our steer Winston from Joel. Thank You for all of your hard work! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
Congratulations are in order also to Justin Reed. Justin is a client we bought our 4-H steer Big Mac from last year. This year after the Porter County Fair he and his family traveled to the Indiana State Fair where he was awarded Grand Champion Duck! Keep up the good work!
Thanks again to everyone who came out to see us! Fair week is a lot of work for all involved, but it’s always worth it for the wonderful memories, and new friends we always make!

 DiToro/Lahey Makes Far East Connection
We would like to take a moment to thank Professor John Ruff for once again inviting us to participate with his program at Valparaiso University. This year we had the unique opportunity to speak with, and share our knowledge of real estate with 14 teachers from China, who were participating in a program that Valparaiso University offers to expand their understanding of American life, and help to strengthen their English skills. You may have seen the articles in the newspaper about their visit. Last year we had the opportunity to meet Chinese students participating in the same program. We took the teachers on a tour of many of the homes we have for sale here in Valparaiso, and while we played host we were able to learn about real estate in China, and discussed the similarities and differences of owning a home in our respective countries. We truly enjoyed the experience and hope that the teachers had as much fun, and learned as much as we did!

For the 2007 season, the DiToro/Lahey Team sponsored a Valpo Americans Little League Team.

Rick Lahey is a VU graduate, so when Professor John Ruff asked him if he was interested in participating in one of VU's new immersion programs, he was delighted to take a groupd of Chinese students through examples of American architecture as part of the study abroad program. The students toured several homes with Nick and Rick, and learned a little about living in our quiet NWI town.

The DiToro/Lahey Team proudly supports the loal 4-H community as well. In July of 2007, Nick and Rick attended the 4-H Celebration Sale and co-purchased a Black Angus steer from one of the local 4H-ers.

Rick and Nick sponsored a hole in the Tudor Services Hoosier Burn Camp Golf Outing in July 2007. Nick and 3 clients participated in the golf outing. Fortunately, Nick and our clients came ready to win and scored the lowest enough to earn 1st place. With the win, they received a trophy.
